Do I have or DO I DO Depression?
How to work with numbing that leads to inertia using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Tuesday 12th & Wednesday 13th September 2023 from 1 pm to 4.30 pm BST (6 hours CPD) for £95.
online workshop
Engaging clients in behaviour change when behavioural activation doesn’t work.
Even though doing more improves depression, many clients tell you they can’t. They feel powerless and hopeless, leading to an isolated, withdrawn, agitated existence. As you try to intervene, you’re met with stuckness, and you can quickly feel drained, frustrated and ineffectual.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches depression in a uniquely creative way. Depression is less something someone has and more something someone does. By finding compassionate ground, you can find the courage and precision to address the behavioural patterns that maintain the fog of depression.
Spot the verbal and non-verbal signs of emotional numbing that lead to Depression.
Build awareness and openness to past events to develop new, more effective emotional habits.
Engage clients in positive emotional spirals to create sustainable life patterns.
Does any of this sound like you?

- You have some basic ACT knowledge and skills.
